YOUTH ADVISORY COUNCIL OUR MISSION The purpose of the Rockwall Youth Advisory Council is to provide participation by local youth in municipal government. The YAC takes initiatives directed toward effective change that benefits local youth and provides positive community impact through organized participation in various city sponsored activities and events. Eligible applicants must be entering grades 9-12 and should preferably live within the city limits of Rockwall. YAC members attend standard, monthly meetings throughout the school year, typically on the first Thursday at 6:00 p.m., and may also have one additional event scheduled during certain months. Because spots are limited and the City typically receives a high number of applications, students selected to serve must be prepared to fully commit to attending meetings and participating consistently throughout the year.
